L. A. Enterprises USA, Inc. is dedicated to meeting the needs of workplaces and the community by offering a variety of classes that use the American Heart Association (AHA) curriculum. Learn the most up-to-date information from our AHA Certified Instructor, President and Founder of L. A. Enterprises USA, Inc. - Lisa M. Alsip, RN, MHCM, CLNC. The classroom environment is relaxed and stress-free so that learning takes precedence. L. A. Enterprises USA, Inc. has more than 150 clients who we service yearly or bi-yearly. All cards, for any type class, are good for two years.
Lisa has been an AHA Certified Instructor for more than 11 years. She has currently taught more than 4500 students in more than 1100 classes, teaching on a part-time basis. Lisa has been in the medical field for more than 25 years. She has experience as an Athletic Trainer, EMS professional, Medical Reservist in the United States Army Reserve, and as a Registered Nurse.
Classes for the public are offered in various forms. "Contact Us" for further information. Please register early as classes fill up quickly. Occasionally L. A. Enterprises USA, Inc. will come on-site to teach public classes (i.e. - scouts, families, parents/grandparents, seniors, church groups, etc.). In these instances, a minimum number of students would have to be present.
Healthcare providers are encouraged to take the lecture and test portions of their class online via the AHA's BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 course. Upon passing you may then contact us to schedule skills testing. Please see "Healthcare Provider Skills Testing" below under the listing of different classes offered.
L. A. Enterprises USA, Inc. will come on-site to teach classes for employees and individuals. This is the majority of what we do, and is about 98% of our business.
L. A. Enterprises USA, Inc. does not publicize its prices for many reasons. One major reason is that discounts are generally available to certain groups: not-for-profit groups of large size, large groups that would be taught in one day or over the span of several days, or employers needing multiple classes each year. Either all ages (adult/infant/child), pediatric (infant/child), or only adult CPR. This class is designed primarily for individuals that are expected to provide CPR in the workplace. This course teaches how to recognize and treat life threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking. It also includes the use of mouth-to-mask (barrier device) breathing in addition to mouth-to-mouth breathing. This course is intended for employees in industrial companies, general workforce, daycare employees, babysitters, police officers, teachers, and family members of patients at high risk for cardiac events, etc.
Either adult, or adult & child CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training. Infant CPR and choking can also be added. This course teaches how to recognize and treat life threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking. It also includes the use of mouth-to-mask (barrier device) breathing in addition to mouth-to-mouth breathing. This course is intended for employees in industrial companies, general workforce, teachers, fitness center staff, mall security, and those employees of any facility owning an AED.
The Healthcare Provider course is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals who respond to cardiac and pulmonary emergencies in-hospital and out-of-hospital. This course teaches CPR & relief of foreign body airway obstruction, along with rescue breathing, mouth-to-mask and bag-mask ventilations, and the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). This course is intended for, but not limited to physicians, nurses, paramedics, physical/occupational/respiratory therapists, nursing assistants, nursing students, and others in the allied health field, etc.
L. A. Enterprises USA, Inc. does participate in providing skills testing for those healthcare providers who take the online HCP renewal course offered by the American Heart Association. Please refer to the AHA's web site at www.onlineaha.org for further details.

This class is designed to teach Basic First Aid skills to all lay responders with a duty to respond or those who just want to help out in an emergency. This course is intended for employees in industrial companies, general workforce, daycare employees, babysitters, police officers, teachers, family members with high risk for Sudden Cardiac Death, airline personnel, and security guards, etc.
Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid, Family & Friends, Family & Friends First Aid for Children, and Heartsaver CPR in Schools, along with other skills testing offered by the AHA on their web site.
